Job description

ABOUT THE JOB

Great products start with curiosity, strong ideas and people who know how to turn those ideas into action.

We are looking for two Product Pioneers to join our Global Product Team. In this role, you help translate KEUNE’s category strategies into well-researched and successfully executed product projects across Care, Styling, 1922 and Premium Care.

This is an early-career development role, but it is not an assistant position. You will take ownership of clearly defined projects and workstreams, while receiving guidance and coaching from the Global Category Lead.

You will contribute to the full product journey: from researching trends and developing concepts to coordinating product development, preparing launches and monitoring performance. You work closely with R&D, Education, Regulatory, Quality, Creative, Operations, Finance and our international markets.

The role is designed to help you grow towards broader Product Manager responsibilities. As your experience develops, so will the scope and complexity of the projects you own.

MISSION

  • Research consumer, salon, market and product trends and translate relevant insights into concrete opportunities for KEUNE.

  • Support the development of product concepts, positioning, business cases and project briefs.

  • Take ownership of defined innovation projects and workstreams under the direction of the Global Category Lead.

  • Create clear project plans and coordinate actions, deadlines, decisions and deliverables across different departments.

  • Work with R&D, Education, Regulatory, Quality, Creative and Operations throughout the product-development process.

  • Support product testing, claims development, packaging development and the preparation of technical and commercial documentation.

  • Maintain accurate product information, project data and workflows in the relevant systems.

  • Prepare portfolio, competitor and commercial analyses and translate findings into clear recommendations.

  • Support global product launches and help develop the materials and information required by our international markets.

  • Monitor assigned products and projects after launch, identify risks or opportunities and proactively propose next steps.

  • Escalate potential delays, risks or uncertainties early and help develop practical solutions.

  • Take ownership of a dedicated Pioneer Project, giving you the opportunity to research and develop an improvement or innovation proposal from idea to recommendation.

You will work across different categories and projects, giving you broad exposure to global product development and the opportunity to discover where your strengths and interests can make the greatest impact.

YOU

You are at the beginning of your career and eager to develop within international product management and innovation. You are curious about beauty, products, consumers and markets, and you enjoy working with different people to turn ideas into reality.

You bring:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or an equivalent level of thinking and working, in a relevant field such as business, marketing, innovation, product development, cosmetic science or consumer studies.

  • An interest in professional haircare, beauty, product development and innovation.

  • Strong organizational and project-coordination skills.

  • The ability to structure information, manage multiple actions and consistently follow through on agreements and deadlines.

  • An analytical mindset and confidence working with product, market and commercial data.

  • Curiosity and the ability to turn research and insights into clear conclusions and proposals.

  • A proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented approach.

  • Strong attention to detail, without losing sight of the overall objective.

  • A collaborative mindset: you are a true team player who enjoys working with people from different disciplines and cultures.

  • The confidence to ask questions, share ideas and raise potential risks.

  • Strong written and spoken English.

Previous experience through an internship, graduate position or first professional role in product management, marketing, innovation, beauty or consumer goods is an advantage, but not essential. What matters most is your potential, curiosity and willingness to take ownership and learn.

OUR OFFER

  • A gross monthly salary of €3,000 based on 40 hours per week.

  • The option to work 32 hours: €2,400 gross per month.

  • A structured development role with coaching and the opportunity to grow towards broader Product Manager responsibilities.

  • 8% holiday allowance.

  • 23 vacation days and 4 ATV days per year based on full-time employment.

  • Participation in KEUNE’s pension plan through a.s.r., with an employee contribution of 4.75% of the pensionable salary.

  • The opportunity to work on global product-development and innovation projects from the beginning of your career.

  • A sustainably conscious employer.

  • Commuting or public transport reimbursement.

  • A laptop and mobile phone.

  • Never have a bad hair day again, thanks to staff discounts on the entire KEUNE collection!

  • Attention to your mental well-being through unlimited access to OpenUp.

  • Participation in group classes at Personal Fitness Soest.
