Laboratory Technician

The Laboratory Technician supports the daily operations of the laboratory and assists in the development and testing of cosmetic formulations. The role involves preparing samples, conducting laboratory tests, documenting results, and ensuring that laboratory work is carried out accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Laboratory Technician works closely with formulation scientists and other team members to support product development activities.

MISSION

• Assist in formulation development activities, including performance (claims) testing and packaging compatibility testing.

• Prepare laboratory samples and conduct routine tests to support product development.

• Maintain accurate and organized records of experiments, test procedures, and results.

• Analyze and summarize test data and present results to the development team.

• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols, quality standards, and internal procedures.

• Support the evaluation and approval of alternative suppliers for existing raw materials.

• Maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and workspace to ensure efficient day-to-day laboratory operations.

YOU

• MBO/HBO diploma or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, cosmetic science, or a related technical field; additional laboratory experience is an advantage.

• Good understanding of laboratory techniques and standard procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
