Job description
ABOUT THE JOB
Professional hair color is at the heart of KEUNE. It brings together creativity, craftsmanship, science and our close connection with hair professionals around the world.
This is an exciting moment to join KEUNE Color. With major portfolio innovations and renovations ahead, you will have the opportunity to shape both the future direction of the category and the professional products and services that bring it to life.
As Senior Global Product Manager Color, you are responsible for the strategy, innovation roadmap and performance of our global professional Color portfolio. You understand what is happening in the market and translate salon, market, technology and consumer insights into clear portfolio choices and commercially relevant innovations.
You lead projects from the initial opportunity and business case through product development, professional testing, launch and post-launch evaluation. You work closely with R&D, Education, Regulatory, Quality, Creative, Operations, Finance and our international markets.
This is a senior individual-contributor role with broad global influence, reporting directly to the Global Head of Product. The position is based at our headquarters in Soest, the Netherlands. We welcome international candidates and can discuss relocation support for the right person.
MISSION
Define and continuously develop the global strategy and innovation roadmap for KEUNE’s professional Color portfolio.
Identify relevant salon, consumer, market and technology developments and translate them into clear innovation and growth opportunities.
Build a balanced long-term portfolio across permanent color, semi- and demi-permanent color, lighteners, direct dyes, developers and supporting professional services.
Lead innovation projects from concept and business case through product development, professional testing, launch and evaluation.
Partner with R&D and Education to evaluate formulas, shades and professional performance and translate technical results into relevant benefits, claims and services.
Turn portfolio performance, commercial data and market insights into clear priorities, recommendations and actions.
Drive portfolio optimization, including range architecture, pricing recommendations, SKU productivity, rationalization and discontinuation proposals.
Lead competitor benchmarking across formulas, performance, claims, shade systems, salon services, pricing and communication.
Develop clear product positioning and work with Brand, Creative and Education on packaging briefs, color charts, swatch books, technical materials and global launch toolkits.
Work closely with our international markets to understand local needs, identify growth opportunities and build alignment around global portfolio decisions.
Throughout these activities, you create structure and momentum, align stakeholders and ensure that decisions, actions, risks and deadlines are actively managed. You identify potential obstacles early and bring forward well-considered solutions.
YOU
We are open to different career paths. Your experience may come from Product Management, professional Education, technical marketing, innovation, R&D, category management or the salon industry.
You do not need to have held one specific job title or spent a fixed number of years in Product Management. What matters most is your understanding of professional hair color and your proven ability to lead complex projects and translate opportunities into commercial results.
You bring:
A strong understanding of the professional hair color market, including products, shade systems, salon services, professional needs and key competitive developments.
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from opportunity or brief through development and execution.
The ability to create structure, set priorities, align stakeholders and consistently follow through on actions and deadlines.
A commercial and analytical mindset, with the ability to turn insights and performance data into clear recommendations and actions.
Confidence working with specialists across technical, creative, operational and commercial disciplines.
Strong ownership and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
The confidence to challenge ideas constructively and welcome professional challenge in return.
Strong communication, storytelling and presentation skills.
Professional fluency in English.
The flexibility to work in an international environment and travel when required.
A professional hairdressing, colorist or Education background is highly valued, but not essential if you bring strong professional Color-market knowledge. We know that great candidates do not always meet every requirement. If you recognize yourself in the core of this role and believe you can help shape the future of KEUNE Color, we encourage you to apply.
OUR OFFER
A competitive salary aligned with your experience, expertise and the responsibilities of this global role.
A sustainably conscious employer.
8% holiday allowance.
23 vacation days and 4 ATV days per year based on full-time employment.
Participation in KEUNE’s pension plan through a.s.r., with an employee contribution of 4.75% of the pensionable salary.
Commuting or public transport reimbursement.
A laptop and mobile phone.
Never have a bad hair day again, thanks to staff discounts on the entire KEUNE collection!
Attention to your mental well-being through unlimited access to OpenUp.
Participation in group classes at Personal Fitness Soest.
A global role in which you can make a visible impact on a category at the heart of KEUNE’s professional heritage and future growth.
